Biography
Omur Arslan received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 2016 and the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2007 and from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2009, respectively. He is now a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Prior to that, he was a research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, Germany and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA. His research interests include robotics, motion planning, sensor networks, control theory, dynamical systems, optimization, machine learning and machine perception.
